Attorney Profile
Paul D. Gullion
Esq. · Attorney at Law · Member, State Bar of California
Background
A Career Built on Trust
Paul D. Gullion has served the people of Central California as a licensed attorney since 1975. A practitioner of the California tradition of relationship-driven legal counsel, Paul brings to every client matter the benefit of decades of practical experience and an intimate knowledge of the regional legal community.
Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Santa Clara University in 1972, followed by his Juris Doctorate from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1975. He was admitted to the California State Bar in December 1975, and has maintained an active license in continuous good standing.
His legal career began at Abramson, Church & Stave in Salinas, California — a respected regional firm where Paul advanced from associate to partner between December 1975 and April 1992. Those sixteen years of firm practice gave him a broad, rigorous foundation across real estate, business, and civil transactional law, as well as valuable experience appearing before the courts and regulatory bodies of Central California.
In April 1992, Paul made the deliberate decision to establish his own solo practice — driven by a conviction that clients deserve the personal, consistent attention that only an independent practitioner can provide. In a solo setting, you deal directly with the attorney at every stage. There are no handoffs to junior associates, no loss of institutional knowledge, and no communication gaps. Paul is counsel, advisor, and advocate — in every matter, from start to finish.
For over three decades, Paul's practice has served individuals, families, and businesses throughout San Luis Obispo, Monterey, San Benito, and Santa Cruz Counties. His work spans residential and commercial real estate transactions, business formation and dissolution, living trust and estate planning, decedent estate administration, and neutral mediation and arbitration of civil disputes.

Philosophy
High Quality. Cost Effective. Transparent.
“My philosophy as an attorney has been to provide high quality and cost effective services for my client. I will provide quotes for all services before the work begins and an estimate of the probable time to complete the project. If asked to serve as neutral third party mediator or arbitrator, I will provide my fee schedule and guidelines for the handling of the matter.”
